BQ24257 doesn't charge with max. current (2A)

I'd like to use the BQ24257 standalone with the max. charging current of 2A. Rlim and Rset are set accordingly. In practice the current never gets higher than 500mA. (also tested with a lab power supply.

Also when setting the charging current to 2A (via I2C) it never get's higher than 500mA.

What are you connecting to the D+/D- inputs? If the inputs are floating, the D+/D- will set a default input current limit of 500mA.

When you send the I2C command, can you read back all registers and show what values you are reading back? Thanks.
