I have question regarding bq24161 the DM pin is NC pin. but it is not written if it should be connected to gnd or left open.

in the bq27530 EVL it is connected to usb. in my design the controller is connected to usb so I dont want to connect it.

can I left DM open? and connect DP to the controller (for psel)?

You can leave open or ground. I recommend ground to help with heatsinking.

thanks for your fast response.

what about the DP? now it is connected to DRV and PSEL.

can I connect the PSEL to the controller? and connect the DP to GND as well? and cut the DP from DRV?

PSEL is takes a logic level input. You can tie to GND or DRV or to an MCU that provides voltage levels within the spec. PSEL sets the USB input current limit in DEFAULT mode.
