Hi,

I have two questions regarding the TPS55065:

1. Other than requiring a Vdriver > 5V at startup, is there a minimum load required for startup? If the load at startup is <50mA, does the device need to startup in low power mode?

2. What specs should the schottky diode have? The EVM does not follow the "Vf = 0.4V @1A, 125C" from the DS. What should the Vr (reverse voltage) spec be for this node - is 100V needed?

Adrian,

1. There is no minimum load required for startup. And the device will start properly in regular mode and you can transition it to low power mode later.

2. The schottky diode should be 3A 100V. You will be fine using the one in the EVM BOM even though it is slightly over spec as it has been tested in the field (the spec is at 3Apk anyways and our datasheet says 1A).
