TPS40055 VFB accuracy

Dear Specialists

MY customer is considering about VFB specification of TPS40055, and confusing.

Could you please advise?

According to the datasheet, VFB is specified 0.698Vmin/0.7Vtyp/0.704Vmax(Ta:25degreeC).

1)This is higher accuracy than the other DC/DCs.

Is REF adjustment adopted?

2)How much is there any variation for every lot?

    Shinichi,

    This device does have a relatively tight tolerance on the reference voltage. This VFB parameter is trimmed. I have attached three pictures of the measured results of VFB in production, for 470-thousand parts. The three pictures are with three different input voltages, 8V, 24V and 40V. Please note that these results are measured at 25degC, and will have a wider tolerance over temperature. The device meets the published spec.
