BQ2057 Charging current only 50 mA

Hello,

I am using the BQ2057 battery charger in a handheld application to charge a single cell Li-Ion battery. I attached a screenshot of my design, which is the same as the reference design shown in the data sheet. R10 and R29 are left open.

When connecting a 5 VDC source, STAT goes high and shows charging activity - fine. But if I measure the charging current, it's only at 50 mA instead of 500 mA. The battery voltage is 3.3V, so it's not in precharge mode.

I've been running the charge for 2 hours now and it works fine, but constantly at only 50 mA charge current.
