Asking for part suggestions for portable am335x design, dual cell

Late redesign, going from single cell Li-Ion to dual cell... Tried parametric search but I really need help narrowing down my options. 

Portable medical product. Based on linux, AM335x with a 7" display, its nominal consumption is about 5W.

Dual Li-Ion cells in series, 2x2.6Ah 

Application should have some understanding of fuel gauge, I'd say 25% steps would be enough.

Charging time not critical.

USB charging not important.

Wall adapter is not yet decided.

Product needs to be possible to use while charging.

    there are stand alone and host controlled; also chargers with power path selectors and just charger.

    Since you said you may want to operate while charging consider a power path.

    Standalone with power path: bq24133 or bq24170 or bq24610

    Standalone Charger: bq24123 or bq24600

    Host controlled: bq247xx
