Query on UC3909DW

Hi,

We are using UC3909DW  for custom board design. I have few queries related to UC3909DW,

[1] If SLA battery is not connected to UC3909DW then what will be the state of UC3909DW. Whether UC3909DW will try to charge the battery assuming battery voltage is less than cutoff voltage?

[2] Is there any restriction on minimum value of charge current sense resistor? To optimize the efficiency we are planning to use 20mOhm of sense resistor and maximum charge current of 1A. This will bring down the input voltage across sense(CS+ and CS-) pins to 20mV @ 1A charging current. With this small series resistor will there be any problem with respect to closing current loop?

[3] We are using BQ34Z110PW for battery monitoring. We are planning to use single current sense resistor for both BQ34Z110PW and UC3909DW. Will this cause any performance issue?
