Hi,
The schematic shows a TPS2041C connection which we intended to limit current of a USB device under 0.5A. The TPS2041C has been soldered without defect.
Then the processor apply voltage to both IN and ENn pin, as shown in the upper sub-graph of the oscilloscope screenshot. The two are always in opposite direction (180° phase difference), which is the expected behavior. However, the OUT pin never gives any output.
The *FLT pin of the device, always remains high (1.8V), which suggest that either
- the chip is not functioning
- the chip is functioning and there is neither over-current or over-temperature.
From the information can we conclude that the TPS2041C IC on the current board is bad?
