tps62130 output voltage disappeared

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62130

I am using the TPS62130 buck voltage regulator to regulate from 6.9 volts down to 3.6 volts at up 2 amps.

After two minutes normal work - output voltage disappear. Removing and then return power supply has no effect. IC still don't work.

Please help me!

Here my schematic!

  • The layout in general looks ok, but I do not see thermal vias in the exposed thermal pad of the device. This is required for appropriate power dissipation. Please check the datasheet (page 22) for guidelines.

Did you measure any signal like output voltage or inductor current before the device stopped working?

  • In a similar case, the connection to the EN pin was not sufficient (soldering).

You might also monitor EN signal at the terminal, in case device stops switching.
