LM10011 Rset setting value

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM10011

My customer would like to set the start up current to 0A.

According to datasheet, we can't set the start up current to 0A because minimum setting is 0.06uA.

So my customer is thinking that they use larger resistor value than the suggested value in datasheet or they leave set pin open.

(Datasheet suggest the range of Rset value is from 0kohm to 301kohm.)

Can you let me know what happen if we use Rset value from out of this range or set pin is left open?

In this condition, is it possible that this device operates normally?

And how can I get the Start-Up current?

  • 60nA is the minimum current. Note that 1 LSB in 6-bit mode is 940nA. So, relatively speaking, 60nA is quite low.

  • Thank you for your answer.

I understood the minimum current is 60nA.

  • 60nA is the minimum guaranteed startup current in this condition. If this is for a switching regulator application, perhaps the feedback divider can be adjusted as required (see the LM10011 GUI for additional guidance on this).
