Interfacing with BQ8015 for programming

Hi,

I am new to the industry, I was wondering what I would need in order to interface with the BQ8015 for programming the eeprom? I have used MPLAB for programming FPGAs and PIC however its been a while and i'm not quite sure what to use for this RISC IC. 

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

    Jourdain,

    The bq8015 is a very old device and we would not recommend using it. Are you looking for a uC platform to develop a gas gauging solution on? If so, you could consider the MSP430 platform. If you are looking for a gas gauge device, then please provide some information about your application and I can provide a recommendation.
