TPS40422 exposed pad connection

I'm tasked with adding this part to our CAD library, and once again, the datasheet has no applicable reference to what net the exposed pad should be connected to. I'd like to find a TI document that spells this out, not just an answer here, so I can keep it for reference.

I sure wish the manufacturers would include this in the datasheets, it's a pain to go searching for this.

Looking at the EVM layout the pad is connected to PGND.

Thanks for that reference. I did manage to find that same Eval schematic, after I had posted my question. I'm hoping there is something more "official" than that, but I guess it may be the only confirmation there is. Is there something I could/should do, to make sure TI is aware of this omission from the datasheet? It would be good to get this issue addressed with a revision to the datasheet.

Hi Thomas - Thanks for your input. I will forward this to the engineer responsible for the datasheet.

Since the EVM has the exposed thermal tab connected to PGND, this is the TI recommendation. The TPS40422 device was thoroughly EVM-tested prior to release.
