bq24650 / reccomend FET for 10A output

Hello,

Our customer use bq24650 by below conditions.

Vin: 18V, Vout:13V, Iout:10A

They use below FET.

In this case, switching FET becomes high temperature.

Thus, they would like to change to the Low Rds FET.

Please let me know the below question.

(1) reccomend FET

In the datasheet P.17 table 1, there are reccomend device for 10A output.

Are there any reccomend FET of TI ?

(2) maximum value of Qg/Ciss

Please let me know the maximum value of Qg and Ciss which can be driven by bq24650.

You should be fine with the FET used on the EVM board (SI7288DP-T1). The part should be heat sunk well.

As the Qg and Ciss go up the switching transition take longer and the conversion less efficient. I would not go over 25nC or 1500pF.
