I have a customer using TPS63000 who has not achieved the expected output voltage of 3.0V  The input is about 3.8V and the load is currently set to about 30mA (although in production the load would be around 200-250mA).  The device heats up, enought to where touching it the IC with a finger is too painful.  No switching waveform is found on pin L2.  Sometimes pin L2 shows a sine wave.  I have in my posession both the schematic and layout files.  I have reviewed both and have not found anything suspicious.

Since the device heats up with only 30mA, no switching waveform on the switch node, and since component selection and placement seem to be okay, my guess is there may be a short somewhere in the circuit or the PowerPad is not properly soldered.

Any other sugestions for circuit tests are welcome.

I would appreciate if someone could review the schematic and layout files.
