BQ33100. connect more than 5 ultracapacitors

Hello, I will start to use the chip bq33100. i received 3 free samples of this chip.

I know that I need the Super Capacitor Pack Manager EVM (BQ33100EVM-001) and the interface board

EV2300 EVM to program it.

In my case i need to conect between 100 and 120 ultracapacitors in serie.

Then, I have three questions:

The BQ33100EVM-001 contain welded chip BQ33100 ?

Is it possible to conect many BQ33100EVM-001 to monitor a lot of ultracapacitors(more than 5 Ultracapacitors) ?

If I Have only the chip bq33100, I need to make the circuit equivalent to EVM?

Hi Manuel,

The max no of caps the device can handle is 9 in series. The bq33100 is non-stackable.

Is it possible to connect supercapacitors of this capacity (3000f) in the BQ33100EVM-001?.

What is the range of capacitance maximum and minimum that i can use for each supercapacitor connect in serie?

The max value that can be written in the design capacity of data flash is 65535 F. However bear in mind you will need a corresponding appropriate learning load to be able to measure the capacitance and ESR of such a large capacitor bank.
