It will be wonderful to have a Texas equivalent for the LT3791-1.
My reason for asking is because I prefer to use a Texas device.
Thank you.

Looks like LM5118 or LM25118 are the closest choices. They are not synchronous however. There is also an integrated synchronous solution, TPS55065-Q1. Output current is limited since the FETs are internal.
Hi Mr Tucker,
Thank you very much for your welcome reply. Unfortunately I have to regulate to an output voltage of 12V and my output current can be as high as 12A. I unfortunately therefore need a controller with external FETs.
If Texas does not have an equivalent, would they consider making one?
With kind regards,
Stephan
That particular product line comes from another group inside TI. I am not sure what may be on their road map for future development. If you can post your complete set of requirements, I can look to see what other solutions might be available.
Hi John,
Thank you for your reply.
I need to convert an input voltage between 8V and 32V to 12V at an output current of 12A maximum. Efficiency has to be high and a non-isolated topology with all switches being synchronous FETs is preferable.
Regards, Stephan.
Hello Stephan,
I work in the product line of TI that is developing buck-boost, boost and some buck controller solutions. The LM5175 buck-boost controller will fit your application very well when available. Watch for it or contact me directly in late 2014.
Best regards,
David Pace
Hello David,
How welcome to hear this! Isn't this wonderful news! My mother taught me to stay with Texas ics. I have made a large note in my office! Please let me have your e-mail address to enable me to conatct you directly in late 2014. To keep it private, you could send it to my e-mail address. I am very excited about this ......
Also best regards always,
Stephan.
Hello, I urgently need the LM5175 for a new application. Can it not be made available sooner?
Thank you. Stephan.
I need a high output 4 switch buck-boost controller with a wide input/output range. The LM5175 may be exactly what I'm looking for. Can I get on a mailing list or something? Also would like to see some cursory specs.
Oh BTW I agree, love the TI stuff, always works well. One time I wasted a huge amount of effort on a design based around a Linear controller that failed to meet advertised specs in testing so I avoid their parts with prejudice now.
