BQ24297; query on USB host detection

Hi,

We are planning to use USB charger BQ24297 in a new design based on OMAP4460 and we have the following queries on the battery charger design architecture:

BQ24297 is capable of detecting the charger type (SDP, CDP and DCP) based on the status on D+/D- lines of the host. But we have requirement such that OMAP should also be able to enumerate and operate in device mode. So, we wanted to know if we can design the system as shown in below block diagram by shorting the D+/D- lines.



We found an application note (slua551) with different charger BQ24050, in that the USB host detection logic will be disconnected after host type detection is completed.



Does BQ24297 is capable of operating in the above mentioned way, such that after USB host type (SDP, CDP or DCP) detection by the charger, the application processor can connect in device mode to USB host.
