50 Watt SMPS requirement

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28600

Hi,       My SMPS requirement is as follows.

1.24V/2A  & 5V/0.5A dual output SMPS.

So if you can suggest me any TI  IC then it will be convenient for me to work on it.

I worked with Power integration ICs, Fairchild IC, and ST ICs also.

But I found TI IC's are more reliable and cost effective so for my new project I am thinking to use TI part. There are lot of varieties so I am confused.

I already used UCC28600 IC in 100W application where I found it goes into burst mode below 35% load.

Which is not suitable for my requirement. If at light load it goes into burst mode then its output ripple increases. And we fail to operate it at light load without burst mode..

.    I am thinking about UCC3844/45 IC but disadvantage in this ICs are it requires start up resister which is leads to continuous losses in resisters. So if there is any similar IC with built in high voltage start up then please tell me. I don't require good efficiency at light load at full load it should be 80%.
