Hi,

We'd like to confirm block diagram on the datasheet P5.

Constant Power Engine doesn't connect to RS - flip flop circuit.
So, when the SOA protection occurs, does the FET stop and restart(Auto-Retry?)
regardless of LTCH pin setting?

Hello,

Please refer to the TPS2421 datasheet block diagram (TPS2421 is a sub-set of TPS2420 with a newer block diagram, but the basic power limiting functions are the same). When the internal FET is limiting, then the timer will run. In LTCH mode if the timer expires then the output will latch off. In RETRY mode, if the timer expires, then the retry cycle will begin.
