I have a power supply application where the nominal input voltage is 300V DC and the maximum transient is 450V DC for 80ms. I need a surge stopper to open a series MOS FET at an input voltage greater than 320V DC to protect the power supply from damage. Does Texas have a surge stopper ic for this application? Linear Technology has the LTC4366 surge stopper for this. I would prefer to use a Texas part. If no, do you have a discrete circuit I can use with Texas parts?
