About TPS65930 BKBAT pin

Dear Experts,

Our customer want to use RTC function, so we need bkbat for backup battery. In data manual it mention BKBAT is present. But in 65930 TRM it mention BKBAT is not available.

Do anyone can confirm if BKBAT is available to support RTC? Thank you veyr much.

BKBAT is available in all devices in the family - TPS659xx

Hi Gandhar,

I have the same question, and want to verify which document is in error. In the TPS65920/30 Technical Reference Manual, it says that the backup battery function is not supported:

Is this document in error? Are all battery backup functions (charging, etc) supported as they are in the TPS65950?

Hi Rick,

TPS65930/20 document has an error for Backup battery explanantion. TPS65950 document has correct info for backup battery.

Backup actually is part of Power module and has nothing to do with Battery module.
