I am currently working on a senior design project for school and one of our tasks is to design an MPPT circuit that will charge a 5 cell lithium polymer battery. We have currently been looking into the bq24650 but one of our main issues is that we need it to be able to withstand 10A output from the solar panels. The data sheets say that we are able to make changes to the EVM to be able to increase the charge current to max 8A but I was wondering if there were any circuits out there that are already adjusted for 8A preferably 10A. We are also trying to get the circuit as small as possible as it is going to be implemented on a plane with limited space.
