I require a battery charger to charge a lithium ion battery with switch mode and power path mode capabilities. Going through the design process I came across the JEITA Guideline Compatible Stand-Alone Synchronous Switch-Mode Li-Ion or Li-Polymer Battery Charger With System Power Selector and Low Iq or bq24616 .
My question is, will this device be able to handle an input current exceeding 18A ?
