Hi team,

For the REG71050, should the thermal pad be connected to gnd or left floating?

Per the package drawing on pages 23 and 24, the exposed thermal pad must be soldered to the PCB. It should be connected to GND.

Thanks Chris.

I had seen this, and also knew that we typically connect the power pad to GND; but wanted to confirm that soldering to PCB is same as connecting to GND..
