KL Tan

I'm beginner on this IC. I have a battery pack fit to the IC, but seems not able to discharge when connecting to resistor load. Can advice anything that I have done wrong. I enclosed the SBS screen for reference.

It looks like you have a permanent failure condition as your PF Status is 4001. An issue with PFIN input ? Do you have a secondary protector IC and electronic fuse?

Remove the cause of the permanent fail and clear the permanent fault register , see figure 21 in http://www.ti.com/general/docs/lit/getliterature.tsp?baseLiteratureNumber=slua421&fileType=pdf for help to do this. Note slua421 is a good document to read if new to these devices.
