I had a question about the design of the BQ25505 evaluation board design. The question pertains to MOSFET's Q1 and Q2 shown in the schematic diagram in the User's Guide. These transistors switch power from the primary and secondary batteries.
My question is: Why are two series MOSFET's used? Doesn't this only serve to double the Drain to Source resistance? Can these two series MOSFET's be replaced by just one?
I realize there may be an obvious explanation, so if someone with more knowledge on this can help me out I'd be grateful.
