We are usingIC BQ24617 as a Battery charger system as defined in the datasheet.
Problem statement:
We observed reset of power supply( O/P of battery chareger ( supply to system) . It is possible to appear this phenomenon the following situations.
> connect AC power(15V) and no connect Li-Ion battery
> main switch ON
> BY heating the neighgorhood area of the battery charger IC
I used a hair dryer to heat the area
Observation;
When we heat the battery charger IC BQ24617 area using the hair drayer we obaserved there is reset at the batteryu chareger o/p. When reset occurs, the temperature ( measured with equipmemt) of the IC1000 surface and the board surface is around 45 degrees.
This temperature is not so high and occurs in normal operation.
