Where and when purchase brand new bq40z50?

Hello,

I was starting a (very) small series dev with bq3060, for both Li-Ion and LiFePO4 High currents, and was bothered by the HighSide PFets for both CHG and DSCHG, as I'd rather not put NFets on the Low Side.
 Also I was missing a local stand-alone 4-5 leds RM indicator.

Then I discovered -by chance- the brand new bq40z50 (and there's even a bq40z55 to come), which seems to fulfill my needs. I can purchase the EVM OK @mopuser.com, and download the brand new Battery Management Studio from TI.

But no reseller seems to have any bq40z50 on stock: minimum order 250 pieces (I need 20-25), leadtime 6 weeks @digikey.com.

Is this bq40z50 in production at TI's yet, or is it still to come? Any small quantities reseller you'd know of?

    Matthieu,

    The bq40z50 is in production, but it appears to be out of stock at DigiKey. The TI online free sample program shows that they still have samples available and you can submit a request on the product website. The bq40z55 will not be released to the web. It has the same pin out as the bq40z50, so you can use that device and leave the LED outputs open.
