Hello,
I'm currently using the supply to provide system 3.3V, however when the unit was initially powered (minimum load) i.e. with no software loaded on the switching items (MCU and FPGA) the unit's load regulation was horrible (3.65V).
I used the preferred values specified in the datasheet for the feedback resistors but these may still be too high. This unit is being powered by a 5V regulator that is the same as this one and it doesn't have any problems. The 5V regulator also supplies a 1.2V regulator (same as this one) and it doesn't have this problem either. There are other items (opamps and other circuitry) that are being powered from 3V3 so I don't understand why the load regulation would be an issue. As soon as I load code to the MCU and FPGA the regulation comes down to within specification (i.e. 3V3 +- 0.05).
I've attached a schematic of the circuit. Is it possible that C12 biasing effects are contributing to this issue? I've looked at the output and I don't see any ripple issues.
Please let me know what you think.
Regards,
Rob
