We get a 100mV erroneous offset voltage from the PL102, so it just needs to have this calibrated out, but the BQWizard does not show voltage offset adjust.
In paragraph 8.1.1 of SLUU481 ( I know it’s a very old doc feb 2011) but it says “the off set and gain of the Daughter BQ76PL102 must be transferred down to the Mother, BQ78PL116 for cell voltage measurement. This is done by selecting the command to load config file .tmap and relearn from the BQWizard file menu. The cell voltage calibration information from the bq76pl102 is then sent to the bq78pl116 when ever the relearn/initialize command is issued.”
We need the daughter chip to work, because we have 5 cells, 4 for the mother and 1 for the daughter to manage.
We just need to get the 5th bat cell to play. But we have not figured out how to do paragraph 8.1.1 of SLUU481. In the wizard display it does not show voltage adjust.
