Hello,

Can I use LM3646 by single LED only?

We use LM3556 currently.
However we would like to use the LED current  under 20mA from next time. Since LM3556 minimum LED current is  46.88mA, we can' t use this device.

    If you are using it in Torch mode, you can use one LED only for LED current setting as low as 23mA. To achieve this, you need to write 0's to bits [6:4] of register 0x05, and 0x7F to bits [6:0] of register 0x07. This wil set the LM3646 for a max total LED current of 23mA and all of the current will be delivered at LED1. LED2 can be a no connect under these settings.
