Now we have one inquiry regarding low dropout operation on TPS54040A from our customer.
Please refer to the item below, and feedback us with your comment.
Now we are going to use this device for TM4C1294NCPDTI.
The condition that we are going use this device is as below;
Vin=4.5~26.4V (Commonly used for 5V and 24V supply depending on supply voltage), Vout=3.3V and Iout=50~500mA (50mA is applied in case TM4C1294NCPDTI enters into standby mode).
When referring page 13 to 14 of the datasheet, we understood that Vout-Vin should be kept at least 2.1 V in order to work on light load operation (10mA).
Please let us clarify whether this device could work in case Vin=5V, Vout=3.3V and 50mA.
