efficiency of LM5045/6

Hi Team,

I found efficiency characteristics of LM5045 in datasheet P.9 and LM5046 in datasheet P.8.

It seems the same characteristic(efficiency) between these devices.

I believe efficiency of Phase Shift Full Bridge(LM5046) is higher than Hard Switch Full Bridge(LM5045) because it reduces switching loss.

Is my recognition correct?

Is there any efficiency data that compares LM5045 and LM5046?

hello Yaita,

You are correct,the 5046 phase shifted unit will produce a slightly more efficient power supply than the 5045 full bridge unit will.
