Hello,

does BQ24251EVM-150 include also the adapter that enables the EVM to be connected to PC or do we need to buy it separately? Is that adapter called USB-TO-GPIO?

Hello Martin,

Yes, the BQ24251EVM-150 needs the USB-TO-GPIO adapter to communicate from the EVM GUI to the EVM.

The 10 pin port in the top of the EVM picture is the adapter connector.

thanks, but my question also was whether I have to buy USB-TO-GPIO separately or if it comes with BQ24251EVM-150.

No, the USB-TO-GPIO is sold separately from the EVM. I apologize for not understanding your question fully.

Based on your answer I purchased BQ24250EVM and USB-TO-GPIO on mouser.com. I don't know what information you have however, BQ24250EVM already contains USB-TO-GPIO adapter. So I have two adapters and I spent more than 50 USD needlessly.

What should I do with the second USB-TO-GPIO?

Hello Martin,

Please accept my deepest apologies.

Whenever I have ordered EVMs for work I have never noticed receiving the USB-TO-GPIO adapter but upon further inspection of the User Guide, discussion with coworkers, and your experience it is clear that I was in error.

Mouser does have a return process and for something like the USB-TO-GPIO kit I would think it would be resolved quickly.
