Problems with connecting BQ34Z100, BQ24617 and battery?

Hello,

I'm using BQ34z100 to monitor battery and BQ24617 to charge it. In BQ34z100EVM is manual how to connect BQ34z100 with charger.

I'm confused because PACK- is already on GND in BQ24617 and if we connect BAT- of bq34z100 on ground it will be short circuit and I think no current can be measured. Because of that I need confirmation of this connections. If I have BQ24617 and bq34z100 in one design, is GND in PACK - of BQ24617 the same as GND in bq34z100 datasheet or GND witch is connected in bq34z100 datasheet on BAT - is only referenced to minus battery voltage?

I have posted an example of this solution, is it OK?
