Hello, TI Community!
I was referred here from the Isolated DC Forum by Kening. He thought I may not need isolation, although I'm not sure if I do or not (What would be the advantages/disadvantages of isolation?)
I need a little help designing a power supply for an electric bike with integrated pulse grips and I need to supply power to two loads.
Here is some info:
Our bike is powered by a 36V DC battery, which tops out at around 42V max.
I need to bring that voltage down to ~9V to power an Arduino Due board (I would like to supply 5V but Arduino recommends 7V-12V for supply voltage, so 9V is good).
I also need to supply 5V and -5V to a pulse circuit connected to hand pulse grips (like you'd find on an exercise bike).
The output current for all of the loads is 20mA max,
The only requirements I have is that the outputs are regulated and that the components are in a through-hole package (PDIP)
Any advice on the best components (PDIP) for this design?
A speedy response would be greatly appreciated as I have about 8 days left to get this thing designed and built .
Thanks,
Jason
