TLC5929 LOD/LSD non-IDM current.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5929

Hello,

Does the TLC5929 sink the programmed current during the non-invisible mode LOD and LSD test?

  • Hello,

Yes, during non-IDM mode, the on/off data should be written '1' for each channel, then the channel will sink the programmed current when BLANK go low.  If the on/off data of one channel is written '0', then that channel will not sink current when BLANK go low, that means the LOD/LSD status can't be detected correctly.

If you choose IDM, then another small current (decided by IDMCUR bits in control data latch) will be sinked when BLANK go low, besides the originally programmed current. That means, even on/off data written '0', the channel can also proceed LOD/LSD detection normally.

    Regards
