bq27621-G1 IT disable

I heard that it is recommended to use bq27621-G1 as Impedance Track learning disabled. It is because IT learning may cause some issue to update resistance table.

But, I could not find any data flash bits to disable Impedance Track learning. Would you advise me if bq27621-G1 has Impedance Track learning enabled? If yes, please let me know how to disable it.

    Hi Emi-san,

    bq27621-G1 is not an IT gauge.  bq27621-G1 does not have the Impedance Track learning capability.  Although it uses the Impedance Track algorithm for gauging predictions, it does not have the ability to learn Qmax and Ra as the Impedance Track gauges can. 

    We call the algorithm used by bq27621 "Dynamic Voltage Correlation" or "DVC".  Although it cannot update Qmax and Ra, it still has shown good results on tests with aged batteries.  It is the simplest, smallest, and easiest to use gauge we offer.  Please check out the bq27621-G1 Quick Start Guide and Technical Reference Manual in the product folder. 

    For quick and simple testing of the bq27621, you can connect a bq27621EVM, your battery, and the Gauge Development Kit (GDK) together and quickly run some cycles using the Battery Management Studio (bqStudio) software without requiring any additional equipment.
