How set LM10504?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMZ10504

Dear Friends

I need to supply power at ASIC chip.

Voltage range is 0.85 to 1.0 volt (Rfbb should be a 12 turn trimmer).

Currentt range is 2.5 - 3-5.

This ASIC chip need to have low ripple.

This ASIC chip need to have high efficiency.

Could you help me to found correct value for obtain this goal?

Reply me soon.

Thanks

  • Hi Giuseppe,

The LMZ10504 runs at 1 MHz switching frequency. The output ripple should be small. I've run a Webench design on the LMZ10504 and the output voltage peak-2-peak ripple is 8mV with one 220uF 15mOhm output capacitor. If further reduction is needed, you can reduce the ESR of the output capacitors by parallel more caps or select a ceramic cap.

For example, if TWO 220uF 15mOhm Cout are used, the p2p ripple becomes 4mV. Or if a capacitor with 220uF 7mOhm is applied, p2p ripple is also 4mV.

The Webench design report is attached. Schematic, BOM and performance curves are included. You can also generate your Webench design on ti.com easily. Select Modules to simplify the schematic and BOM.
