Hello,
I understand the RAM values are lost when the power is cycled (i.e. battery disconnected) but what does this mean in reality?
What effect would there be on the reporting when the battery was connected again?
Thanks.

OK, thats fine, thanks. I assume this will not be as accurate until a charge/discharge cycle occurs? Or does the ic update the flash data periodically in service?
The device does update the flash memory to save lifetime data, QMax, Ra table data, etc. The FCC simulation, that occurs after reset, will estimate capacity and the accuracy will depend on how rested the cells are and how is flat that region of the OCV table. It iwl run another simulation when it exits the relaxation state.
