PMP4259 / UCC28070 with dynamic load chages

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28070

We are looking to design a 3kW PFC pre-regulator much like the one in the PMP4259. I looked at the data PDF, and it shows some results for full load. Our load will be dynamic, going from 0 to 3kW in less than 1 msec, and back down to 0 in similar time. It may also rest at powers between 0 and 100%.

My question- normally there will be a transition to discontinuous mode when the power drops below a certain level- it is difficult to maintain CCM over all input voltages and output powers. Is this design suitable for highly dynamic load conditions like this?

If not, is there a better choice of controller? It is important that it be possible to be synchronized to an external clock frequency.
