LMZ14203HTZE - ceramic output capacitors

Hello,

According to WEBENCH simulation I need to use for the output  180 uf tantalum capacitor.

My design has the following spec : VIN=24V;VOUT=6V; IOUT =2.5A.

Can I replace 180uf tantalum capacitor by two 100 uf ceramic capacitor (100UF,10%,25V,X7R,).

Regards,

Yuri

  • Hello,

Two of 25V 100uF ceramic cap should be alright. But just to make sure, check what it's capacitance derating against applied voltage is. Most of the manufacturers present this information in a chart form either on their website or through some proprietary software.

    Regards,
