About LM2758 accuracy in Torch mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2758

I have a question.

We checked  the accuracy of flash mode in the data sheet 4 page.

We checked the accuracy ±50mA(±10%) of 500mA flash mode.

But,we need the accuracy  in torch mode.

Please teach the current accuracy of the torch mode 2mA of LM2758.

Customer thinking use this device with pulse lighting in 1/32duty the torch current.

  • I assume you are asking about 2mA accuracy resulting from the 1/32 indicator current, which means a typical torch current of ~64mA.  The accuracy of the Torch current at 64mA is most likely 10% typical as well.  Since indicator is a pulsed version of the full scale torch current, accuracy of the pulsed current should be similar to the full scale current.

If the customer is asking about accuracy of torch at 2mA ( 62.5uA for indicator), I dont have that data.  The current sources are large to handle the high current, and therefore accuracy might not be as good at very low currents, but unfortunately I do not have the production data to confirm this.

    Regards,
