problem in enabling the TPS40305 buck controller

Hi All,

I am not able to enable the TPS40305 controller.It has EN/SS pin to enable the controller, but what is the required voltage should be applied to this pin to enable the buck controller.Please help me.

Please find the attached design file for TPS40305 buck controller.

The TPS40305 should start automatically if EN/SS is left floating. I usually recommend an appropriate slow start cap be attached to EN/SS.

Dear John,

I am giving 5V input to TPS40305 and EN/SS is left floating, but still i am not able to get any output.
What would be the reason?,Please help me.

Can you post some waveforms of your start up condition? Please be sure to include the switching node.
