VID setting for UCD9222 in Fusion

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9222

Hi, all,

I got confused by the VID/Vout setting in Fusion for UCD9222 which is regulating the C6657 power supply.

1). VID Vout low/high bars are fixed for the powered device, say DSP C6657, they are 0.7/1.103 respectively; Is this correct? Which means the user has to refer to the powered device for the VID Vout low/high values.

Since the C6657 supports Class 0 SmartReflex, that is to say the hard-coded VID in the C6657 die also refer to the above Vout low/high setting.

2). VID enabled and configuration will override the Vout1(in my case) setting, which is to say, by power-up or after reset, the stabilized Vout1 is set by the VID Code Init(determined voltage) rather than the Vout1 value. Is that right?

At least I observed it's like that.

In this way it seems that in Vout1 configuration tab the user only defined over/under warning/fault thresholds, the Vout1 is only a rated value for these thresholds.

3). As in the C6657 data sheet SmartReflex section described, after power up(CVDD reaches to 1.1V as VID Code Init configured), the C6657 will send its factory pre-configured VID to UCD9222 to switch the CVDD.

Is there any timing figures prescribe when the C6657 is sending its VID to controller after CVDD is stabilized?

Thanks in advance for your help!

best regards,

Jeff
