Hello!

I intend to use the switching DC output voltage from a DC/DC converter (TPS63000 or TPS63031) to supply a ZigBee module (operating at the GHz section).

My questions are

1) How much will the noise created from the switching DC voltage affect the operation of the ZigBee network? (perhaps the range is affected the most?)

2) What is the best solution for coping with this issue? (filtering perhaps?)

This is very layout and component dependent. You must build and test the results yourself. I suggest using existing power solutions from the ZigBee team.

I see... This is true, that it is board and components specific. I was just wondering if there is any solution that eliminates the problem, no matter what.

However, I am not so sure of what you mean with "the existing power solutions from the ZigBee team". Is it possible to explain this a little bit more?

Use the same power solutions that the ZigBee ICs use in their EVMs and reference designs. There is no way to completely eliminate noise in the system. Using a switching power supply followed by an LDO is one solution many people use to try to minimize noise effects in the system. You must to the best you can and then contact a consultant if you need better performance.
