Hi All,
Our customer has evaluated PMP7390 test board and reviewed documents. Then the test result is tested with Rev.A but the schematic and BOM are Rev.B. Do you have the test data for Rev.B?
Now we are focusing on the difference of performance between toroidal core inductor used in Rev.A and shielded core inductor used in Rev.B. Is the performance almost the same though the BOMs were changed?
Best Regards,
Sonoki / Japan Disty
Satoshi-san,
After digging into this, the reference design changed REV for mostly layout revision.
As for the inductor. You can choose either toroid or surface mount powdered iron. The performance (test report) does not change. Toroid inductor is a lower cost solution.
