TPS22965 / Ron data

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22965

Hi Team,

I'd like to ask about TPS22965.
Our customer want to know the graph other than 「Data sheet P16 Fig3」.

Do you have any data that other Iout condition?
Or Is there a way to calculate the Ron from Vin and Vbias , Iout?

Best Regards,
Yusuke / Japan Disty
  • Hi Yusuke,

The other graphs we have are with a 4A load where VBIAS is set to 2.5V and 5V.

There is no way to calculate the RON value using VIN, VBIAS, and IOUT.  Is there a specific set of conditions you are looking for?

  • Hi Alek-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
These will be helpful for our customer.
I will contact you if there is a question about  distribution data from customers.

    Best  Regards,
    Yusuke
  • Hi Alek,

I'd like to ask about TPS22965.
Our customer wants to know the switching frequency of the charge pump in TPS22965.
Could you tell me the operating frequency of the charge pump?
Customer wants to know it because noise of 1MHz band occurs on board.

Customer used TPS22965 in condition of  Vin(5V)>Vbias(3.3V).
Whether this is probably have an impact?

  • Hi Yusuke,

The charge pump switching frequency will be ~300kHz and will change slightly with respect to the Vbias voltage.  Even across temperature and process variation, we do not think the frequency will reach 1MHz.

Also, while there is no problem with Vin>Vbias, this will significantly increase the ON resistance.  If at all possible, I would highly recommend they use a Vbias = 5V to minimize voltage drop and power loss through the switch.
