Hi Folks,

AM3505 designed in to this medical customer.

initially recommended TPS65023 as basic power supply for this device

1) pls can you confirm that TPS65023 is the CORRECT device to pair with the AM3505 specifically ( cautious that 'siutable for OMAP35x' may not be the full story )

2) They now say they need high current charging from an AC socket, Li-Ion, and I suspect also from USB. TPS65073 look good....but 'may' have too many unused features ( eg ADC, Touch Screen )....so wondering if there is basically a TPS65023 with JUST the Li-Ion Charging feature...and nothing else ???

Hi Mike,

1) Yes the TPS65023 is a suitable part to power the AM3505. Please have a look at the processorpower page to find reference designs as well as design in Guides.

2) The TPS650732 does meet the requirements of AM3505. Please have a look at page 83 of the TPS650732 datahseet - there you find the application diagram.

You are correct that the TPs6507x does contain featires like Touch Screen, wLED Driver that may not needed for the customer application.

We do not have a device like TPS65023 just with additional charger.

The Customer would need to use the TPS65023 with external charger, or the TPS650732.
