HI
Wanted to check if TI has a PMIC solution targeted for wearable electronics with below characteristic
- ultra low IQ
- Integrated battery charger
- Integrated battery gauge
- Vout buck - 1v8,3v3,2v5
- Vout boost 12V for display

HI Ivan,
We might have something that fits what you need. What is the VIN range and load currents for the application?
HI Michael
The Vin would be froma single cell lithium during operation.
Expected charging to be done via USB.
We have looked at TPS65217A+Boost and Batt Gauge, then this is a three chip. Space wise would be a concern. Not to mentioned the Iq.
Ivan
Hi Ivan,
Can you provide some more info on the current requirements for each rail and the boost application? What is the boost powering? Do you have any other kinds of constraints: size, target Iq, etc.?
HI Michael,
The requirement are
- ultra low IQ = 1uA
- Integrated battery charger = 300mA power path
- Integrated battery gauge (if possible)
else a gauge with I2C or SPI interface
- Vout buck - 1v8,3v3,2v5 = 100mA, 200mA, 200mA
- Vout boost 12V for display = ~50mA
Ivan
HI Ivan.
Can you look at TPS65070 and TPS65217? Both have 3 buck converters, some LDOs, WLED driver, and battery charger and power path management. The TPS65070 has a 4 channel ADC / touch screen interface while the TPS65217's LDOs can function as load switches.
The idea here would be to use the WLED driver as a boost converter by replacing the LEDs with a zener or shunt regulator. You will still need a battery gauge and the Iq would not be 1uA but, either 8uA or 6uA pending your selection. .
